蕭爾大學(xué)，成立于1865年，是美國南方歷史最悠久的黑人大學(xué)，位于美國北卡羅來納州雷利，學(xué)校在整個北卡羅來納州有多個成人與職業(yè)教育校園。同時，蕭爾大學(xué)也是一所私立的、男女同校的、附屬于浸信會的文科大學(xué)。
蕭爾大學(xué)目前可授予大學(xué)本科和研究生學(xué)位，學(xué)校的首要任務(wù)是承諾保持研究和學(xué)術(shù)專業(yè)方面的優(yōu)秀性，以促進學(xué)生智力和技術(shù)能力的提高。學(xué)校獲得了一項五年的補助金，以與北卡羅來納州教堂山大學(xué)之間的建立伙伴關(guān)系來為少數(shù)民族消除健康差距。在2007年，蕭爾大學(xué)從國家科學(xué)基金會獲得了250萬美元的捐款以支持學(xué)校納米科學(xué)和納米技術(shù)項目的最新研究。學(xué)校同時還與中國的西北民族大學(xué)和西安科技大學(xué)建立了留學(xué)生交換項目，這也是1978年以來中國教育機構(gòu)與美國教育機構(gòu)之間第一個交換生項目。
